A heady mix of medicated liniments fused wintergreen and camphor with root beer and cinnamon while oily and waxy textures delivered linseed and shoe polish. The palate was a burst of big and bold flavour. An overload of esters delivered rum encounters of the banana kind, followed closely by aniseed and spice. A drop of water caused vanilla ice cream to melt over a banana split in an old engine workshop, where elderflowers and mint leaves stuck to viscous wood oils. Mint chocolate chip cookies then found themselves crushed into rum and raisin ice cream, finished with a topping of bitter cocoa nibs.
