About Smokehouse on the beach: We celebrate International Women’s Day this year with a stunning release approved by an all-women Tasting Panel. This Campbeltown cask transports us to a windswept beach at low tide with all the charm the “wee toon” has to offer. 

Tasting Panel Note: Unreduced the nose took the panel to a smokehouse on the beach. The nose offered raspberries and wild strawberries eaten while walking on lava rocks with a sea-soaked rope and lobster creels nearby. With reduction, there was a sharp sea breeze on the shore at low tide with sweet notes in the wind including sponge cake in a nearby house, fruity chewing gum, burnt sugar-coated seaweed, milky ice lollies and cinnamon and cloves. There were ash-kissed hickory sausages, the olives and brine reminiscent of a dirty gin martini and pine needles which completed this full-bodied dram to the end.
