Smoky Atholl Brose

Highland, Eastern

A very bright pale straw colour was followed by a sharp yet delicate inviting aroma, reminiscent of grilled oysters with tarragon-parsley butter or moules mariniere in cream, garlic and parsley served with fries. Where is the smoke? – Here it comes- in the form of a blast of smoked peat, heather, oakmoss and ozone with a dry cedar musk finish. With water the sweetness of  duck a l’orange with smoked garlic mash and cardamom glazed carrots appeared on the nose, whilst to taste like a smoky Atholl Brose containing oatmeal, water, honey, double cream and, of course, smoky whisky.
