We were greeted by a bouquet of bourbon sweetness without the domination of wood, Scottish tablet, vanilla fudge and custard slices laced with nutmeg. A wonderful texture neat, sweet with a hint of spice, just enough to keep us interested with marshmallows, sweet satsumas and a rhubarb and custard pie with a spiced butter crumble. After we added water, the room was filled with aromas of poached pears, coconut panna cotta, buttercream and a cinnamon spiced chamomile tea latte while to taste now mashed bananas on buttered toast and sparkling white grape juice. In the long finish a grapefruit mango smoothie with turmeric and ginger.
