A cunning combo
Highland, Island
Who was smoking a hookah with raspberry and apple flavoured tobacco in the engine room of a Clyde puffer? And not only that, but there were also luscious lashings of cocoa, chocolate mousse, hazelnut ganache as well as damson jam, fig rolls, red onion chutney and peppered beefy Yorkshire puddings. Diluted the scent of chocolate crepes flambeed in orange liqueur as well as crispy bacon and maple syrup-drizzled pancakes appeared. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes - truly a cunning combo! After 17 years in an ex-oloroso butt, we transferred this whisky into a second fill Spanish oak oloroso sherry butt which previously matured whisky from Society cask 29.260.
