The nose was clean and bright – pineapple, \u003cb\u003eStarburst, Maoams,\u003c\/b\u003e chocolate-coated puff candy and \u003cb\u003eEmpire biscuits\u003c\/b\u003e mingled with oiled wood and cigarette packets. The palate had \u003cb\u003eBlack Forest gateau\u003c\/b\u003e and \u003cb\u003eapricot Danish\u003c\/b\u003e sweetness tempered by playful woody spices – \u003cb\u003enutmeg, clove, pink peppercorn\u003c\/b\u003e and chocolate gingers. The reduced nose seemed slightly more delicate – \u003cb\u003ebaked apple with lemon juice\u003c\/b\u003e, prunes and lime flowers.
