The palate was sweet (\u003cstrong\u003ebutterscotch\u003c\/strong\u003e, caramel popcorn, vanilla, sweet liquorice), but we also found lively, \u003cstrong\u003ewarm wood tannins\u003c\/strong\u003e, chilli jam, fruit schnapps and perfume; hints of \u003cstrong\u003egentian and ginger\u003c\/strong\u003e in the finish. The reduced nose offered \u003cstrong\u003ebanana split\u003c\/strong\u003e (including maple syrup, chocolate sauce and ice-cream), but all \u003cstrong\u003ejazzed up\u003c\/strong\u003e by menthol, eucalyptus, \u003cstrong\u003elavender oil, pot-pourri\u003c\/strong\u003e and wasabi.
