The palate was \u003cstrong\u003eunctuously sweet\u003c\/strong\u003e (butterscotch, candy corn, crème caramel) with \u003cstrong\u003ehoney-glazed pork chops\u003c\/strong\u003e and whispers of wood spice (\u003cstrong\u003ecinnamon toast\u003c\/strong\u003e, fennel seeds, turmeric). The reduced nose found \u003cstrong\u003eslightly over-done pecan pie\u003c\/strong\u003e, spiced rum, quince jelly and \u003cstrong\u003eantique libraries\u003c\/strong\u003e. The viscous, mouth-filling palate had \u003cstrong\u003emaple syrup, bacon and pancakes\u003c\/strong\u003e; burnt toffee, ginger, liquorice, \u003cstrong\u003ewooden tea chests\u003c\/strong\u003e and enough candy to satisfy a trick-or-treat mob.
