The palate was a big juicy affair with pineapple juice, oranges and Turkish delight. Darker flavours developed as figs, truffles and sultanas moved towards soft leather and oak. With water came a freshness that entwined peppermint and pencil shavings around cut grass, coconut and acacia wood. Baked banana now headed a charge through fudge, vanilla and pastry dough before we landed among mint chocolate, wood chips and strong black tea.
