Further notes of natural tar extract, aniseed balls and raw liquorice root follow on. Impressive and unequivocal! Water revealed rye spice, rosewater, plum chutney, smoked bacon joint, ham terrine, mint sauce, teriyaki sauce and dry toast peanuts. The mouth was instantly spicy and bristling with red chilli, fruit loops, smoked chilli jam, exotic hardwood shavings, herbal bitters, wood embers and toasted black peppercorns. With water we got smoked hummus, bay leaf, dry earthiness, chipotle sauce, coriander seed, lime leaf and aged tobaccos. Deep, earthy and darkly mesmerising. The mashbill was 82% Arkansas corn, 9% Arkansas wheat & 9% malted barley.

Cask: New American oak charred barrel
Age: 5 years
Date distilled: May 2014
Alcohol: 59.8%
USA allocation: 144 bottles
