The neat taste delivered a crisp, penetrating mixture of oak and fruit - fruit punch, rumtopf, stewed apple, dried cranberries, pomegranate and Black Forest gateau. The reduced nose got rosehip jam, raspberry Ruffle bars, cola cubes and toffee apples. The palate - warm pastries, rhubarb rock and barley sugars, with dark chocolate, tannic oak and spices tingling the finish.
