We set out our picnic blanket and unpacked fish pate, horseradish sauce and sourdough bread to be dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We had a few fresh oysters and French onion soup, plus sweet treats including sour apple pie, made with a digestive biscuit and roasted chestnut base. After a dash of water we found ourselves among the seaweed and salty rockpools.
