The smooth, sweet palate offered toffee and maple syrup, while more complex flavours fuelled our somewhat animated discussion - baked apple, vanilla, mocha, toasted almond, some even found the finish reminiscent of Big Red gum. The reduced nose had more vanilla, less greenery and additional notes of lavender, dark honey and Cafe Noir biscuits.
