The palate was sweet and tart – cloudy lemonade, rhubarb crumble and toffee apple; the finish finding nutmeg, chilli and cinnamon. Adding water made the nose more complex – gorse, heather and old red roses, poached pears with Gulab jamun and orange and lemon marmalade.
