The palate, warm as a welcoming hug, combines treacle tart, Eccles cakes and dates with Victory V’s, hot cross buns and curry spice. The reduced nose encompasses egg custard tart, cassis, thick cut marmalade and a half empty treacle tin. The palate now has apricot jam, Christmas cake, crème caramel, vanilla slices and nutty sherry, finishing with dry spices, liquorice root and oak.
