This whisky noses like that – \u003cstrong\u003elight, floral and sweet\u003c\/strong\u003e (honeycomb crunch, apples, pears, \u003cstrong\u003epot-pourri\u003c\/strong\u003e), but with herbal, woody, \u003cstrong\u003ealmost earthy breath\u003c\/strong\u003e (nettles, liquorice, hessian). With water, it retains the \u003cstrong\u003esweet innocence\u003c\/strong\u003e of Dolly Mixtures* and \u003cstrong\u003emarshmallow tea-cakes\u003c\/strong\u003e, but some nymphs have retired to the \u003cstrong\u003espice cupboard\u003c\/strong\u003e or the Steamie. The palate is not quite so innocent – \u003cstrong\u003eapple and vanilla sweetness\u003c\/strong\u003e matched by sweet blackcurrant and liquorice, leather, menthol and \u003cstrong\u003ebitter orange\u003c\/strong\u003e; sweetness and light (\u003cstrong\u003epear-drop, lychee\u003c\/strong\u003e) return with water.
