The palate was succulent, juicy, fruity and sweet – rhubarb rock, ripe figs, sherbet lemon and golden syrup; juniper, leather and coconut gave us a bit of a nomad’s tent vibe. The reduced nose moved into the patisserie – coconut volcano cakes, French Fancies and honey on buttered crumpets.
