The neat palate was mouth-watering with Mon Cheri chocolates, Anthon Berg plum marzipans and kirsch; a tickle of nutmeg, cinnamon and oak to finish. Water enhanced the fruits and the wood on the nose – orchard fruits on the bough, hazel coppice, old style matchboxes and tobacco pouches, raspberry jam and New Berry jellied fruits.
