Add water and there's notes of old oven gloves, match boxes, tea tree oil, tool boxes, plum skins, black grapes, sea buckthorn and mango jelly. A wee hint of black olive paste and umami as well. The palate opens with nettle cordial and the sharp tinge of lime juice. Then loganberry sauce, chocolate cake, black pepper, cured meats, orange and lemon travel sweets, cocktail bitters and aged cabernet sauvignon.
