The palate echoed the nose, with layers of orange, treacle custard, key lime pie and an accent of clove. Water served a slice of rye, liberally dressed with marmalade and honeyed figs. The finish was lighter, its top notes of vanilla mingling with ginger, kiwi and cranberries muddled with mint.
