Even more fruits arrived on the palate – strawberry, blackcurrant, \u003cstrong\u003ekiwi, fig and plum\u003c\/strong\u003e – all held down to earth by deeper notes of fortified wine, \u003cstrong\u003edark chocolate\u003c\/strong\u003e, Strepsils and \u003cstrong\u003esugar-coated fennel seeds\u003c\/strong\u003e. The reduced nose was simply delightful – \u003cstrong\u003eperfumed pear and elderflower sorbet \u003c\/strong\u003eand flowers in polytunnels.
