After tasting a cask like this one, that kind of tenure makes perfect sense. The sweet, citric, honeyed and herbal notes that shine through this 2nd fill hogshead are simply mesmerizing. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTasting Panel Note\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e: Mouths watering, the Panel entered a pâtisserie, with its enticing aromas of lemon meringue pie, banana bread and honey-glazed apple doughnuts, as well as roasted chestnuts and pecan snowballs. On the palate, we first bit into a warm piece of apple cinnamon tart and honey on buttered crumpets before a grassy, peppery note with the intense citric fruit flavour of grapefruits and lemons appeared. Following reduction, we poured a glass of cloudy lemonade and had a croissant filled with sweet apricot jam. To taste, we tucked into millefeuille puff pastry, toffee apples and an apricot custard danish.
