There’s also hay loft, dusty malt bins, pineapple haribo and toothpaste. Beyond there’s also oatcakes, golden sultanas, lime syrup, runny honey and camphor. After reduction the aromas move towards lemon-infused grappa, freshly chopped rhubarb, scrunched newspaper, ink wells, smashed clay pots, geraniums in a greenhouse and warm grist. The palate is spicy at first with cloves, cinnamon, buttery toast and sunflower seeds. Some poppy bread, lemony soot and a dusting of black pepper.
