The palate was mouth-filling and warm – sticky, gooey treacle toffee pudding, with pleasant spice tingles on the tongue (red liquorice, cinnamon, nutmeg, clove). Adding water seemed to enhance the bright, captivating perfumed sweetness of the nose, but we also discovered honey lemon lockets, orange boxes and holiday swimming pools.
