Immediate and chunky notes of germoline floor cleaner, hospital chemicals, caustic soda, puffer smoke and mussel brine. As industrial as Rammstein! Our mind's eyes were filled with molten iron and flamethrowers. Water brought pure sharp and vivid peat smoke. Also raw seawater and smoked malt vinegar. A T-1000 dissolving in a smelting plant we mused. The palate opened with engine grease mixed with swimming pool water - also preserved lemons. Beyond that some charred twiglets and immolated pears. With water it became rather brutally mineralic. Lots of petrol, smoked sea salt, black market hot sauce, pickling juices and some Sea Devil sashimi.

Cask: Refill hogshead
Age: 11 years
Date distilled: September 2010
Alcohol: 58.2%
USA allocation: 120 bottles
