The floral scent sweetened to Turkish delight and marshmallows being toasted on a peat fire. A hint of salted blackcurrants preceded medicinal cues that led us to bandages and creosote on old wood. The palate announced itself with a big chilli heat that thickened to ginger marmalade with a juicy and moreish demeanour. Sweet smoke filled the mouth, like a fine cigar, as salted caramel blended with the cooling tones of fresh peppermint.
