The palate combines chalky sweets and ginger snaps with savoury notes (salt and pepper squid, prawn cocktail) and smoke and ash; there is also the medicinal stimulation of liquorice lozenges, smokers’ tooth powder, Buckley’s cough syrup and Fernet Branca.
