The palate was amazing – \u003cstrong\u003ecaramel, vanilla,\u003c\/strong\u003e \u003cstrong\u003erich toffee\u003c\/strong\u003e, Crunchie bars and waffles, but with \u003cstrong\u003esharp, fizzy pear sorbet and popping candy\u003c\/strong\u003e as one counterpoint and \u003cstrong\u003emouth-drawing toasted oak and leather\u003c\/strong\u003e as another. The reduced nose was indulgent and rewarding – like standing between an \u003cstrong\u003eArran Aromatics \u003c\/strong\u003eshop and an \u003cstrong\u003eice-cream parlour\u003c\/strong\u003e.
