Fruit syrup sweetness laced the tongue along with sherry trifle and Mānuka honey before bitter orange and oak tannins joined the herbal influence of dry vermouth. The sweetness receded slightly with water to allow orange, lemon and lime to combine with pencil shavings and banana skin on a bed of crushed walnuts.
