There was a somewhat rude awakening on the palate with a surprisingly sweet and spicy heat followed by firm tannins in the finish. Let’s give it some water – and yes, we were back in dreamland! Rice pudding with cinnamon, star anise and mango as well as the aroma of dry roasted cassia bark giving us now a very different sensation when we tried it.
