Cranberries and dried sour cherries brought a juicy vivaciousness that created an interesting amalgamation with papaya, pineapple and a squeeze of lime juice. Then heavier notes appeared of coffee and spicy ginger that became complimented by hazelnut ice cream. Fruit notes remained dominant after water was added but now swayed towards singed apple tarts, rosé champagne and dried apple rings with cinnamon. A touch of apricots and cumquat appeared before the spice of rye bread led into mulled wine spices followed by light cigar smoke and marzipan on the finish.
