On the palate, a surprisingly pungent smoke with a mixture of lavender, heather and lemon at first before a creamy coconut chicken curry appeared. Water transported us into a stone walled herb garden smoking a pipe and drinking heather ale. The taste reminded us of minty smoked floral Linden honey on burnt toast with a cup of Earl Grey tea. In 2017 we combined selected hogsheads before returning the single malt to a variety of different casks to develop further.
