The complex palate combined cinder toffee and raspberry or cherry jam with lemon peel; then liquorice allsorts and pretzel sticks, before we chewed green twigs dipped in honey to finish. The reduced nose was sweet and perfumed – candy floss and marshmallows, rose Turkish delight, a milk chocolate-covered fudge bar and pine or cedar wood.
