The palate had an interesting duality – a sweet side (Parma violets, orange liqueur, dates and fruit cake) and a warm, spicy, playing-on-the-tongue element of sugar-coated fennel seeds and new oak. The reduced nose similarly contrasted Macaroon bars, coconut ice and Magnums with sanded wood and Imperial Leather soap.
