The palate had poppy seeds on lemon drizzle cake, vanilla custard and little chocolate sweets in a candy shell, while the finish carried subtle hints of peanut butter, pretzels and candied orange peel. The reduced nose evoked a garden centre coffee shop, cane furniture and syrupy cherries, and banana fritters with ice-cream and coconut shavings.
