The palate was \u003cstrong\u003edeliciously dark and sweet\u003c\/strong\u003e – scorched meringues, orange liqueur, \u003cstrong\u003eblack bun\u003c\/strong\u003e, treacle on a welly boot and a \u003cstrong\u003etannic twist of oak\u003c\/strong\u003e in the tail. The reduced nose found \u003cstrong\u003eburnt wood and leaves\u003c\/strong\u003e, singed fruit cake, stroop waffles and \u003cstrong\u003eold tennis racket handles\u003c\/strong\u003e.
