The mouth opens with a lean, slightly meaty and nicely dry sherry but evolves swiftly towards ginger cake, malt loaf, pomegranate syrup, chopped dates and black tea with sugar. With water we got game meat salamis, bouillon stocks and things like treacle sponge, venison ramen, Scotch broth and herbal cough syrups.
