The palate neat continued the foody theme with sweet, smoky marinated chicken wings and the iconic German street food, currywurst – a bratwurst with a sauce made from tomato purée, yellow curry powder, other spices, sugar and vinegar. After the addition of water, and all these foods, we needed a digestif of either a grappa or a fernet. In the finish, we rustled up a smoky version of a hanky panky cocktail by adding lapsang souchong tea.
