The aromas were that of cherry cola, burnt brown sugar, molasses and chocolate sponge cake. On the palate toffee, honey, blackcurrant, fudge, bananas and a slightly burned treacle edge in the finish. Remaining in Whitehaven, also the final resting place of Mildred Gale, paternal grandmother of George Washington we got on reduction raisins, cinder toffee and banoffee pie on the nose, while the taste was that of roasted chestnuts coated in powdered sugar.
