A big, deeply expressive and complex mix of dried exotic fruits, rapeseed oil, copper coins, linens and citrus rinds on the nose at first. Water brought out fermenting lemons, cough medicines, tea tree oil and fruits of the forest. When neat the palate was awash with fruit juices, waxes and metal polish - that familiar Irish accent coming through loud and clear - with additional rye spice and flower honey. Reduction evolved things towards olive oil, fruit esters, young rum and camphor.
