The palate had lovely \u003cstrong\u003eJaffa cake\u003c\/strong\u003e, marshmallow and tea-cake sweetness, plus lots of spice – \u003cstrong\u003ecoconut curry\u003c\/strong\u003e, Peshwari naan, Liquorice Allsorts, \u003cstrong\u003enutmeg and clove\u003c\/strong\u003e. The reduced nose was a \u003cstrong\u003esneaky peek into a speakeasy\u003c\/strong\u003e – lacquered wood, floral perfume, \u003cstrong\u003ecigar smoke and booze\u003c\/strong\u003e. The palate now slipped over like \u003cstrong\u003ecoffee and walnut ice-cream\u003c\/strong\u003e or hot chocolate – we also found \u003cstrong\u003eRussian caramels\u003c\/strong\u003e and jammy dodgers and a sweet anise and liquorice finish.
