The palate had an initial super-sweet hit, with rapid dry evaporation - soft fruits, dolly mixtures, cotton candy, caramel and dried pineapple and papaya, followed by toasted coconut and warming white pepper. The reduced nose had under-ripe pineapple, pears in syrup, lemon bonbons and meringues floating over gardens - light and lovely, like liquid sunshine.
